Phyllis W "Kitty"  Cole
Phyllis (Kitty) Cole, age 91, of Sutherlin, passed away Sept. 18, 2016 in her home. She was born May 3, 1925 in Pierre, South Dakota to Clarence Reynolds and Alice (Frasier) Reynolds. She moved to Oakland, OR in 1947 with her 3 year old son, Jerry, where she met the love of her life of 63 married years to Harold Cole. Kitty was a ranchers logger’s wife. Kitty loved to cook, bake, crochet, decorate cakes, knit, sew, can and golf. She and Harold went to Arizona for 9 consecutive years for the winter.
Kitty is survived by her son, Richard McCandless, Jr. and wife Joanne of Selma, CA; sister, Claudia and husband, Steve Meal; and brother, Tom Reynolds and wife, Laurie; all of Montana; also, nieces Debra Rodgers and husband, Duke, Vickie Clark and husband, Orville of Riddle, OR
The family would like to give a special thank you to her wonderful caregivers, Vickie T, Jody, Tiffany, Timber, Alice and Julie. Also, thank you to the wonderful people at Amedysis of Roseburg, Nick, Kay Kathy, Mindy and the rest of the crew.
A memorial service with potluck will be held Sat. Sept. 24th at 1 p.m. at the Calapooia Club House on Cal Henry Road off of Fort McKay Road. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Amedysis of Roseburg. 1820 NW Mulholland Drive, Roseburg, OR 97470.
